Danakos
This is another small, beautiful emery village. Its name is connected with Byron , the famous philhellene, as it is said, that this was the place where the poet settled from 1808 until 1811.
Near the village, you will see the "Fotodotis" (meaning 'light-given') tower-monastery. Byron used to live here during his stay on the island.
